Inside "Cookies in the Kitchen"
I was trying to think up another narrative poem for my son when I started writing this poem. Flibbity Giddget sounded to me like a name he would make up. He is always making up nonsense words and names. It is a lot of fun, but I can’t remember most of the words and names he comes up with because there are so many and because he often can’t remember them the second after he says them, changing them when asked to repeat them. So, unfortunately nothing in here comes directly from the mind of a toddler. What’s more, this story seems to have progressed well beyond what I initially intended as a silly story for little kids.
